Europe Trip - Geneva, Switzerland (DAY 6)

With a very very very heavy heart, we leave Interlaken. We checked out and somehow we feel the urge to fulfill our dreams of finding the perfect spot for picnic. Luckily, with the help of CB's family, we went to a place called Iseltwald. It has a nice view, with some chairs and shades. We could not find a picnic table but the garden chair was sufficient.

We sat down eating some chips while seeing the river cruise passed us by. En route to Geneva, we decided to stop at one castle - the only castle that opens. Not really. It was closed and we only got to explore the outside. But, we were happy to do so. We went to the Oberhofen Castle. There is a lot of castle in this region, so make sure you manage to stop at least once.

We head towards Geneva and checked in at our hostel. One great thing in Swiss is, you will get free transportation card if you stay at a Youth Hostel. With that said, we use the free pass to ride the tram to explore Geneva.

We went to the Jet d'Eau at the Geneva Lake. With the free pass, we even manage to get on the water taxi to get across the lake. We wanted to go to the Old City an we ended up getting lost for a while. We see some old buildings and the classes European stone pavement/walkway. Before heading back to the hostel, we went to the United Nations.
Our petite room

Geneva is a very clean city. The cleanest out of every other place I have visited.
Our hostel provides common kitchen, beverage dispenser and movies at the common hall. The movie that night was not good so I opt to sleep early.
